Just to inform all of you to what we are up to.

We are in the process of building a brand new barista training centre at the roastery in Sheffield πŸ™‚ !!!

The aim is to have it ready in July. This is going to be absolutely wonderful and we are extremely excited about it.

The roastery is right off the M1 and really convenient for people from London and pretty much anybody because it is right in the centre of the country. Easy to access from anywhere.

Of course we will be able to include a little tour during the barista course as well (except for courses on Saturday’s).

We will keep you informed. And of course all of our customers are more than welcome to come over for a coffee anytime πŸ™‚

Use vanilla ice cream to make delicious cold coffees

With this extremely hot weather around 25 C you might want to make your customers happy with some ice drinks.

Most of our customers are now serving icedΒ  lattes.

A great variation to this drink is this:

– add 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
– add a double espresso
– top with cold milk
– blend until smooth

This is a delicious cold drink. And no need to add unhealthy frappe powder and things.

Pick it up in Halifax and receive a fantastic price. This is a great opportunity to pick up a bargain.

The machine works on 13 amps and is a 2 group auto.

Please send any questions to youri@absolutecoffee.co.uk

So we got our new Mahlkonig K30 grinder in last week. Chosing the right equipment to me is a lot about achieving consistency and having the ability to control the variables. We think that with our current system we have achieved this.

This morning I pulled 10 double shots. All shots were within 2 seconds accurate! All shots were 27 to 28 seconds. That is pretty good. I used the Mahlkonig K30, an Espro tamper and a La Spaziale S5. And I was using the Premium Espresso that we roasted oh so carefully last Friday.

Beautiful sweet shots, again and again. Absolutely wonderful!
